National Guard Farewell Ceremony

Oklahoma's "Red Thunder" readies for deployment

Approximately 800 members of the Oklahoma Army National Guard's 45th Fires Brigade headquartered in Enid will be deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. 

To honor the dparting troops, a farewell ceremony has been planned for August 16.  The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.

The Ford Center will open its doors to the public at 11:00 a.m. to allow adequate time for family members and the public to be seated.  Once inside the Ford Center, signs will not be allowed due to safety and viewing concerns.
